Well, the city is famous for its colonial churches, some of the finest in the country. For example, La Merced is known for its 7 different altars and the woodwork inside, being one of the oldest in the country (dating back from the beginning of the 17 th century).Then La Recoleccion has a very nice Mexican baroque facade. Ask local people when you can visit without disturbing. I don't think there is a charge.
